Rachel started riding when she was 4 years old and hasn’t stopped since. She decided to join the team in order to keep riding throughout college since she did not think she would have the time to continue outside of the team. She has been competing since middle school and helping out at shows and other events with different barns on the side. Joining the team has given her the opportunity to continue riding, showing, and meeting new people. Rachel hopes to continue showing in order to become an open rider on the team, which is the highest division you can qualify for.Rachel plans to work in physical therapy after graduating college while also keeping up with riding. She hopes to work with show horses, riding and working them in order to get them ready for shows and one day owning a horse of her own. Along with horses, Rachel also loves working with dogs as she has bread, raised, and trained many therapy dogs with her family. Through being on the team, it has helped her work more closely with people who have different riding backgrounds and skills than herself and hopes to use this throughout the rest of her riding career.
