About me and my passions
About
I grew up in North Carolina so I have always enjoyed going to the beach and the mountains. From growing up in a small town, there were not many things to do which is how I became so involved in riding horses. I have been riding horses since I was about 8 years old and am the treasurer of the UNC Equestrian Team. I have greatly enjoyed my time on the team and have met many amazing people in doing so.
I joined the UNCET my freshman year and have gained so many new skills as a rider. I have competed in multiple shows, have met so many amazing people, and have made so many memories I will never forget. I am not sure what I would do without the team, they have made my college experience so much better in the short time I have been with them. From team socials to volunteering to early morning horse shows, there is always something fun to do with the amazing, funny, and talented people on this team. It is a great way to continue to ride in college as it is more affordable and time friendly.
Through riding, I have met some of my best friends and value every day I spend with them. Along with riding, I also enjoy reading, traveling, getting coffee with friends, pilates, cooking, and little artsy crafts! I would love to travel around the world one day to experience the sights, food, and culture of the places around us. I also hope to continue riding and show in the world champion horse shows.
